Thiruvananthapuram: Virtual queue booking for the upcoming Sabarimala Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage will begin at 10 am on October 29, the Travancore Devaswom Board has announced.
Devotees must book their darshan slots through the official website. Following a High Court order, the spot booking facility at Pamba has been discontinued. Instead, spot booking will be available at three centres: Nilakkal, Erumeli and Vandiperiyar Sathram.
The Devaswom Board has clarified that no fee will be charged for booking darshan through the virtual queue system. Devotees may voluntarily contribute to the Pilgrim Relief Fund, starting at ₹5, or donate to the General Fund for sanitation and cleanliness. Such contributions are not mandatory.
The daily entry limits for pilgrims booking online are as follows:
- Nilakkal–Pamba route: 60,000 pilgrims
- Erumeli forest route: 3,000 pilgrims
- Vandiperiyar Sathram route: 3,000 pilgrims
Spot booking facilities will operate at the following locations:
- Nilakkal: 10,000 pilgrims per day
- Erumeli: 2,000 pilgrims per day
- Vandiperiyar Sathram: 2,000 pilgrims per day
The Devaswom Board has advised devotees to decide their travel route and booking method in advance and secure their tickets accordingly to ensure a smooth pilgrimage.
With preparations underway for the Mandala-Makaravilakku season, pilgrims are advised to check the official booking website for the latest instructions before travelling to Sabarimala.
