NEW DELHI: The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, offering a reward of up to $1 million, or approximately ₹9.59 crore, for information leading to his arrest.
The FBI announced Brar’s addition to the list on September 28. He is the 543rd person to be added to the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list since its inception in 1950.
Brar is wanted in the United States in connection with multiple federal offences, including alleged murder, extortion and drug distribution. The FBI alleges that he is the North American leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group, which it says has been linked to targeted killings, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, assaults, and narcotics and weapons trafficking in the US, Canada and elsewhere.
FBI Warns He May Be Armed and Extremely Dangerous
According to the FBI, Brar is based in the United States and has also lived in California and various parts of Canada.
The agency has warned that he is considered extremely violent, armed and dangerous and advised the public not to interact with him directly. Anyone who has information about his whereabouts has been asked to contact the FBI or local law enforcement immediately.
RICO Conspiracy Among Federal Charges
Brar has been charged in federal court in Los Angeles with several offences, including racketeer influenced and corrupt organisations (RICO) conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere with commerce through extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances with intent to distribute.
These are allegations that remain to be proved in court.
The FBI said the charges form part of a wider investigation into India-based transnational organised crime networks.
Operation Hardball and 2023 Canada Killing
The action against Brar follows the Operation Hardball investigation, the results of which were announced by US authorities in July 2026. The operation involved a years-long federal investigation into India-linked transnational organised crime groups accused of racketeering, targeted killings, extortion and international narcotics trafficking.
US authorities also allege that Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi were involved in the 2023 assassination of a prominent Indian political and religious figure in Canada. Court documents identify the victim as “H.S.N.” and allege that the killing took place outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18, 2023.

The FBI said anyone with information about Satinderjeet Singh can contact its toll-free tip line, a local FBI office, or the nearest US embassy or consulate. Tips can also be submitted online.
The agency said information can be provided anonymously and that confidentiality is guaranteed.
